In guidance with federal regulations all work study students are required to work 10%  of their time at City Lights Ministry or Winston Salem Christian School as a reading tutor and assisting teachers in the classroom.  In addition, all students are required to engage in community service as a part of their ministry formation.

All work study jobs are hourly employees at $8.25 per hour

Job Duration: The student worker position is 10-15 hours per week Hours per week dependent on student’s federal work-study award.  The start date for all positions begins the Monday after drop/add until the final day of the fall or spring term.  FWS is not available during the summer term.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR ALL POSITIONS:

  • Must be enrolled at Carolina Christian College full time.
  • Must be awarded Work-Study through Financial Aid and Scholarships.
  • Must maintain at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work remotely as needed.

Front Office

Administrative Assistant

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Check voice messages and emails sent to Admissions and promptly forward to the relevant departments or persons.
  • Assist in the processing of applications. This includes, but is not limited to, collecting and opening mail which also gathering mail from the post office; scanning documents; downloading and uploading digital documents; copying and filing.
  • Assist in data entry. This includes, but is not limited to, preparing and sorting documents for data entry; quickly and accurately entering data into database software; checking for errors and discrepancies.
  • Prepare campus correspondence mailings, emails, errands, and other duties as assigned.
  • Must be willing and able to participate in all campus visit programs. Participation may include on-ground and online tasks.
  • Be able to conduct required campus tours and participate in special events if needed.
  • All students are required to participate in a training program and must be able to attend monthly professional development meetings.
  • The student will file the Accounts Payable Checks and Purchase Orders in the file room using the filing system that is in place.

REQUIRED (OR PREFERRED) SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES

  • Strong keyboarding skills, working knowledge of Microsoft office suite.
  • Working knowledge of basic office equipment and machines, including but not limited to copiers, printers, scanners, phones, and computers.

Enrollment Management

Digital Marketing Associate Producer

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assists with digital content creation and development.
  • Manages fan engagement/SEO strategy.
  • Handles Youtube studio content and maintenance.
  • Provides program and marketing outreach.
  • Participates in team brainstorming and project management.

REQUIRED (OR PREFERRED) SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES

Athletics

Game Day Operations Staff

Basic Function: Provide support services for all home athletics events Assist in the set-up and tear down of playing area- including setting up scoring tables, bleachers, and concession stand.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Must have good creative and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Operate 35/30 second shot clock during men’s and women’s basketball games.
  • Operate scoreboard/game clock during, men’s and women’s basketball games.
  • Keep the official scorebook during men’s and women’s basketball games.
  • Operate the statistics computer during men’s and women’s basketball games.
  • Spotter for the statistics computer operator during volleyball and men’s and women’s basketball games.
  • Work the concession stand during all home men’s and women’s basketball games. Inventory what is needed after each contest.
  • Sell and take tickets during all men’s and women’s basketball games.
  • Work as public address announcer during men’s and women’s basketball games.
  • Sell Centurion merchandise and raffle tickets. Work with sponsors and encourage student participation in promotions.
  • All positions will help in the general set-up and tear down before and after all athletics home events.
  • All workers must be reliable and enthusiastic.
  • Experience is preferred but not required.
  • Workers must be available on nights and weekends.

Marketing & Communication (Upperclassmen preferred)

 

Social Media Creator

The Office of Marketing and Communications at CCC is seeking a social media intern to use their creativity and social media knowledge to support the growth and development of Carolina’s social media presence and enhance its overall digital presence.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Work alongside the digital marketing manager to develop a long-term strategic plan for the three main social media channels (Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram) as well as developing platforms such as TikTok and Instagram Stories
  • Assist with day-to-day social media management tasks including but not limited to weekly copywriting for social media posts; brainstorm fun and creative ideas to target prospective students and engage current students; strategic planning for special events and campaigns throughout the school year
  • Develop and maintain a calendar of on-campus events for the purpose of live coverage during the events
  • Assist with Facebook Live broadcasts, both pre-production and during the broadcast
  • Assist with the pre- and post-production of digital projects including videos and photo shoots

REQUIRED (OR PREFERRED) SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES

  • Junior or senior, sports management minor or related
  • Interest in social media, digital marketing, and strategic planning
  • Experience with Adobe a plus!
  • Photography, video editing, and/or graphic design skills (minimum)
  • Solid writing skills
  • Basic understanding of social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok
  • Basic presence (whether personally or professionally) on social media
  • Team player but can also work independently
