In their inaugural season, Carolina Christian College’s Centurions men’s basketball team represented well. The Centurions completed the season with a 10-15 record including two tournament appearances in Joplin, Missouri and Oakland City, Indiana. In addition, the Centurions were ranked number two in the ACCA (Association of Christian College Athletics) conference coming off their historic victory of the first annual Twin City Classic against cross-town rival Piedmont International University.

Each player showed the utmost of professional Christian sportsmanship and were stellar students. Two Centurions that deserve special recognition are Artavious Love and Austin Robinson. Artavious made the All-American first team and Austin was awarded membership in the All-American second team for the ACCA.

On the heels of an outstanding initial basketball season, Carolina Christian College is poised to expand the athletic program for the fall season. “We are excited to announce that we are continuing with our athletic program with the addition of the women’s basketball team and a JV men’s squad” stated President LaTanya Tyson. Tryouts for the upcoming fall season are set for April 7, 2018, from 10-2pm at the William G. White YMCA in Winston-Salem, NC.
